Description
The Sigma SD9 is Sigma's first DSLR and first to feature the Foveon X3 sensor. Sigma calculated the advertised megapixels by counting each pixel three times, for each photo detector. As such their advertised megapixels are often well above the competition at the time. Early Sigma DSLRs are difficult to find nowadays, and thus command inflated prices at times. It pays to be patient when searching for a deal on one of these.
